Uproar is inspired by similar events including ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI, and ArtFields in Lake Park, SC; however, this is the first event of its nature in our state. The scale of the event, in addition to the prioritization of accessibility, make this different from other similar festivals.
We anticipate broad media coverage from around the state and will heavily market the festival through digital and print media. With the combined reach of our Uproar partners and marketing director Andrea Cash Creative, our promotional efforts will reach millions of people throughout the Triangle and beyond.
As part of the Triangle, Orange County is often overshadowed by our much larger neighbors in Durham and Wake counties. This festival presents an opportunity to shine a light on Orange County, showcasing the creative soul so long synonymous with Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough.
The Orange County Arts Alliance is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. In partnership with the Orange County Arts Commission, we work to complement the more than 170 arts and cultural organizations active in our community. We support arts programming and events, arts education, and individual artists through grants, fundraising, and advocacy. At the Eno Arts Mill, the Arts Alliance has created a hub to make the arts accessible to all of Orange County’s residents and made a space for the community to interact with and learn from local artists. We believe that creating opportunities for arts programming, arts education, and artists through strong financial support is the foundation of a thriving creative economy and good business. Our EIN is 86-1597342.
