Uproar is a project four years in the making. Born from a desire to showcase our community through art and the arts, Uproar has become not only the first public art festival of its kind for Orange County, but in the state of North Carolina.
The Orange County Arts Commission, together with our 9 community partners, have created this new event for three reasons:
Uproar Festival of Public Art is presented by the Orange County Arts Commission, a unit of Orange County government, and the Orange County Arts Alliance, our 501(c)3 nonprofit partner.
Uproar Festival of Public Art is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.
